Caring for a family member who has a Learning Disability or someone who may have an Acquired Brain Injury can be very stressful and scary. The whole family will be affected and it can be difficult to know how best to proceed or where to find the right type of help.
To enable us to offer a high standard of specialised care and be familiar with the most current guidance, we are pleased to announce two of our Team are registered with The British Association for Brain Injury and Complex Case Management.
Linda Knock RGN, Dip HE (Adult) Nursing our Deputy Manager and Lead Trainer and Georgia Walker, a Senior Carer, work alongside Customers who have the most complex requirements. Together with our wider Team, they offer a range of holistic support services tailored to individual requirements helping to promote a better and improved quality of life which include:
- Respite care for family members
- Assistance to live independently
- Attending appointments
- Accessing the community for reasons such as:
- Shopping, leisure banking etc

Taking the next step
When you are ready to discuss things further please contact our office and we will arrange for an initial meeting with one of our senior Care Coordinators. This can include the person requiring learning disability care, any relevant professionals plus one or two other family members who may wish to attend. We can advise who should attend at the time of booking the appointment.
From this we will gain a fuller understanding of the specific care required and can explain the different services we offer. A Care Plan will be created and all costs and payment options fully explained.
